Children between 10 and 12 need very specific guidance. This is because a whole range of important character traits develop at this age. Qualities such as ambition, diligence and commitment become entrenched during these years. These years are also the setting for physical development. Slowly, children become adolescents. It\u2019s a great pity that rugby is not yet a popular sport in Germany. We\u2019re hopeful that this will change in the course of the next decade or so. That is because this stage of development, where childhood still rules, but adolescence beckons, is one where they most need a guiding hand. The discipline of rugby as a game, but also the team and the club structures as such can provide that guidance.<\/p>

In the U12 section of the Oranien Raptors your child can learn this sport from scratch. But that's not all. Learning the rules and numerous different game moves, as well as the appropriate physical training, means that your child will very soon show positive results. In rugby, your child learns to adapt to opponents changing lineups and tactics within seconds. On top of that, the own coach can always throw in a change or two during the course of a game.<\/p>

Your child learns so much here that will help him or her later in life as an adult. First, there's team spirit and the ability to cooperate as a team. Then there is the emphasis on respect for officials - like referees - or for \"superiors\" like the coach. And mental agility - i.e. the ability to think quickly within a few seconds from one move to another - is just as important here as physical fitness and agility.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
